The Fysio project aims to improve patient engagement and adherence to home exercise programs in the physiotherapy department at AZ Delta. Through a website, patients will have easy access to their personalized exercise plans and examination data directly from their mobile devices. The physiotherapists are able to setup these personalized plan through the seperate interface provided to them.
Objective
The goal of the Fysio project is to enhance patient compliance with home exercises by offering an easy-to-use platform where patients can access their personalized exercise plans and health data. This will improve communication between patients and physiotherapists, encouraging patients to take an active role in their recovery.
Methodology
Two applications are developed: a patient website, allowing patients to view their exercise plans and examination data, and a physiotherapist interface, where healthcare providers can create and update those plans. These applications are synchronized, ensuring that any updates made by the physiotherapist are immediately reflected in the patient’s app.
Impact and future directions
The Fysio project is expected to improve patient engagement and treatment outcomes. Future developments could include adding progress tracking, in-app reminders, and further integration with hospital systems, making it a comprehensive tool for physiotherapy care.
